Dr. Mark (Chinese medicine practitioner) has been at the forefront of natural medicine / allied health professions for a quarter of a century. His extensive experience spans clinical practice, education, and professional association representation. Here’s a small glimpse into his remarkable journey:

  • Clinical Practitioner: From 2000 to 2009, Mark served as a dedicated clinical practitioner at ‘Optima Sports Medicine’ and later at ‘Master Healthcare’ from 2007 to 2024. His impact extended beyond patient care, as he actively influenced the field through education, corporate leadership, and governance roles.

  • Education and Curriculum Development: Mark’s passion for education led him to the Australian College of Natural Medicine (now Endeavour College of Natural Health). During his fifteen-year tenure, he held various pivotal roles, including Director and Associate Director of Education (2007-2008), Head of School for Bioscience and Oriental Medicine, and National Program Leader for Oriental Medicine (2010-2013) and Naturopathy (2004-2009). His influence reached students across Bachelor-level programs, spanning Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Nutrition Medicine, and Western Herbal Medicine.

  • Acupuncture Advocacy: Mark’s unwavering commitment to Acupuncture’s broader recognition is commendable. As head of school and National Program Leader for the Bachelor of Health Science Acupuncture Degree, he spearheaded quality improvements, reaccreditation efforts, and program delivery across six Australian campuses. His advocacy further extends to professional associations, where he continues to represent the Chinese medicine profession. Notably, he played a crucial role in ANTA’s involvement with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) associations committee, which secured national accreditation for Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2012.

  • ANTA Advisor and Educator: Serving as an ANTA National Council member, Mark contributed significantly to the profession. His expertise was evident in ANTA national seminars, where he shared insights from 2006 to 2024.

Dr. Mark’s (Chinese medicine practitioner) legacy lies in advancing clinical Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Naturopathy, Nutrition Medicine and Western Herbal Medicine practice and education, ensuring its rightful place in the Australian healthcare system.
